Description and Applications

Turbine oils , are based on specially selected mineral base oils and additives to obtain a high degree of oxidation stability, furthermore they contain additives to protect metal surfaces against corrosion and to suppress foaming ,whilst retaining the good air release properties. The oils have been formulated to be compatible with the components used in turbines and associated equipment and they contain an inhibitor to prevent catalytic acceleration of autooxidation of lubricants hydrocarbons by trace metal. The formulation is Zinc free and ash less.
These oils are recommended for the lubrication and cooling of bearings and gear boxes of steam,
gas and water turbines and associated equipment, such as turbine governor systems, turbocouplings
as well as for the lubrication of turbo compressors.
